Paraverse x HKPC Seminar on “XR Technologies in Construction and Engineering Industries”

HKPC Seminar
Paraverse to Present at the HKPC Seminar on “XR Technologies Enabling Construction and Engineering Industries Smartification and Digitalization”
With the HKSAR Government vigorously promoting new industrialization, the construction industry is gearing up for the introduction of XR technologies such as Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR) and Mixed Reality (MR), which are key enabling technologies for intelligence and digitization. These new technologies can effectively improve the process of early planning design and on-site inspection of construction progress in the construction industry, and enhance the efficiency and safety of personnel, e.g. AR can be used to realize reference drawings to guide the operation of the construction site, and VR can be used to simulate safety training in hazardous scenarios.

To further explore how XR technology can be used to digitally transform the construction industry, HKPC will organize the Seminar on “XR Technologies Enabling Construction and Engineering Industries Smartification and Digitalization” on March 8 as part of the series of events on “Empowering the Industry Towards Smartification and Digitalization With XR Technology”. The seminar will aim at introducing the industry to the applications, technical concepts, methodologies and case studies related to the application of XR technology in the construction field, and at the same time elaborating on the advantages and limitations of technology. The objective of this series of events is to introduce to the industry the technical concepts, methodologies and case studies involving XR technology in the construction industry, as well as to illustrate the advantages and limitations of technology and its latest development.
